12/29/2017 – Can the 3D also be used as a flip?
Response From VueThru.com: Hi Steve.
The answer is sometimes. The secret is that all lenticular lens will do some sort of flip and 3D. But most are made to do either Flip better or 3D better and there are a few that are in the middle for both. A lot depends on the software, the printer, and the graphics.
Our 60 LPI Lenticular lens does a great job on 3D and will work depending on the printer for Flip usually up to about a 5" range. So if you tried to do a 6x8 or 8x10 it would most definitely not work. On a 4x6 and the artwork and software are setup correctly yes. We have used the 60 LPI Lenticular lens at the Premier Bodies and Star Trek locations for over 10 years!
Let me know what software and printer you are using and I can probably tell you if we have had success with that combination.
By the way we suggest new customers use the 40 LPI Lenticular because it is set up as a Hi Def Flip Lenticular lens and works great and is easier to create Flips with, but very little success with 3D!
Hope this helps!
